Work Project Recap from Micah Hsieh

Today's blog post comes from our very own Micah Hsieh! Please enjoy his thoughts on our recent work project in Idudi! We made it back to our guest house near Matugga last night and will be resuming school visits tomorrow (Monday).

It was a four hour drive from the guest house we are staying at to Idudi, Uganda. It was incredible to see the physical impact that was funded by us. A bathroom, a water tower platform, the roof and walls of a large building, and materials were made possible because of our donations.

We started by scraping the top layer of loose dirt from the floor, and mixed and poured a base layer of mortar. With the help of the YFC Idudi staff and the G21 team, we put some concrete in and cleaned the windows of the building.

We were building relationships too, and some of us were able to interact and have fun with the local children who were onlooking nearby.
