God is Good...
...All the time
And all the time
God is Good, and that's His nature - WOW!
Yesterday was our first day of full ministry as we traveled to three different schools. Side note - when I wrote about "massage roads" before - I had no idea what Ugandan massage roads truly were until today...
At each school, we were greeted by the children as we arrived. Many out in these rural villages have never seen "muzungu" ("white people" - everyone here calls us this) before, so there was much waving, laughter, and excitement.
To the whole school, we performed the dance that the YFC staff taught us and put on a skit of the story of Blind Bartimaeus from Mark 10. The school administrators all spoke, welcoming and thanking us for visiting their school. What was a surprise, but so much fun, was that each school was prepared with songs and dances to perform for us, and wow - do these kids know how to dance!
After this time, we broke into smaller groups by grades and did more songs, dances, and Bible skits with the kids, depending on the age and the English level. The P1-2 kids do not know as much English yet, so the YFC G21 team helped translate for us.
The CCPC students did an amazing job of stepping up into roles for skits, leading songs, and generally loving on all of the children and school staff we met and I'm so proud of them. There's so much more I could say here, but I don't have time right now.
In 20 minutes I'll be waking them up to start our next day of school visits, so prayers for strength and energy to continue would be great. We did Bible study and dinner with the G21 team last night, and it's awesome to see our students getting to know them and talking and laughing with them.

Family time has become a great opportunity to debrief and discuss some of the things we experienced throughout the day, and I appreciate how our students have been honest about how they're feeling, what has been awesome, hard, or though-provoking. We may share more of that here eventually, but just know that our students are being stretched in new ways and the Lord is faithful to walk with them through.
And with that...it's time to wake them up! Wasuze otya (good morning)!
